BoritBorit is a manufacturer of sheet metal hydroformed components and assemblies. These structural panels are much lighter and stiffer than flat sheets with the same thickness. They wanted us to create an application for their technology that they could use in order to expand their market.

Golf ball effectThe dimpled surface of the panels reminded us of the dimples in a golf ball. These create a layer of turbulence around the ball which makes the passing air stick more to the surface and therefore makes the ball fly farther than a smooth one.
We wanted to see if we could create a bodywork for a truck that was not only cheaper and lighter, but also more aerodynamic. |
