What is MyMachine?
The MyMachine-methodology is very simple and consists of 3 steps. Firstly primary school children invent their own ‘dream machine’. This is called the idea-phase and anything is possible here.
During the next phase industrial design students try to find lots of different solutions for creating this dream machine. They do so by extensive testing and prototyping. When a proof of concept is realised, technical drawings for the final machine are created using CAD-software.
Finally, these drawings and working concepts are handed over to secondary technical schools. They build real prototypes of those machines.
Carbon dioxide to soda converter
The most promising idea was a machine that takes carbon dioxide out of the air and converts it to soda.
We were very fascinated by the environmental awareness of the children and their original way of
implementing it as a soda maker.
